Here are some things everyone should know when raiding. Main Assist (Hence forth refered to as MA) This is the character that will serve as the Main Tank. This is most commonly the tank with the Highest AC (Armor class) and HP (Hit Points). Through out the fight you should assist the MA at ALL times. Second Assist (Hence forth refered to as SA) This character will tank additional mobs and or take over if the MA dies. You SHOULD have a SA hotkey to supliment your MA (Primary assist) Hotkey in the event the MA dies. At no time should you Assist the SA if the MA is still alive. Assist Key: Throughout a raid you should ONLY use your ASSIST key to select mobs (monsters). At no time should you manually target them so long as the MA and SA are alive unless specifically specified by the raid leader. The followex example is how your Assist key should be constructed. Mandy is our MA Thunder is our SA You should have Attack on assist turned OFF. You should have two hotkeys the first should be titled in red Assist, or MA and contain in the hotkey: 1st line: /assist Mandy 2nd line: I am now assisting Mandy on a %T (Optional) Your SA hotkey should read: SA (Different color tag preferable) 1st line: /assist Thunder 2nd line: /assist Mandy 3rd line: I am now assisting Thunder on a %T (Optional) The ONLY characters that should every target a monster without the use of their assist key during a raid are: A) the SA B)the raid enchanter(s) C) the raid shaman(s) When to assist: Many times there will be a puller who will have an INC message, and then the MA who will have an ASSIST me message. You are not to ASSIST the MA (engage) untill his/her order to assist is given. IF you attack BEFORE the assist is given you may be asked to leave the raid. Raid Leader(s): This is the person who decides loot, gives raid commands, makes executive decisions. Their word is final and must be obeyed at all times. Raid Channel: At this time the official LoL raid channel is lolraid. This is where all raid information will be given and is of great importance. To join the channel type: /join lolraid To talk in the channel type: /1 Hello To change the chat channel text color: /usercolor 36 (0-255, 0-255, 0-255) Suggested at 255 255 0. Make sure your chat is clear: Pick vibrant colors for raid chat and instruction channels. Turn off Dmg shields and turn bard shields to self only Turn off 3d sky Turn down your clipplane Type /serverfilter on Turn off auctions If needed turn off PC (Player Character) Names. Turn off Other's Damage If you cannot see an order the first time its given then you need to turn off even more chat options. Infight instructions are critical and MUST be seen and obeyed without hesitation. Any instruction should be obayed regardless of its effect (If the raid leader says kill yourself, kill yourself.) Above all remember to have fun and die alot in fun and interesting ways! |
