Who are we?
The Legion of Light is an old and well established guild. We count amoung our members many respected, and honorable players. As a guild we strive to become a close nit family while exploring new and challenging lands.
What we are looking for?
Above all we are looking for people who can play this game and their chosen class well and are willing to learn how to better themselves. We want people we can depend on and who are loyal to the guild. We want people who don't hide behind the anonymity of the internet as an excuse to abuse and exploit their fellows. We want mature, fun loving individuals who will lift us up in our moments of sorrow and drown us in their terrible jokes and wonderful companionship.
General:
· Your sense heading skill must be above 70
· You must have at least the old-world, Velius, and Luclin (all expansions are preferred)
· You represent the Legion at all times and your actions reflect upon the guild. You are expected to act with honor and integrity at all times.
· You will never engage in any sort of racial, religious, or cultural bashing either in or out of guild chat.
· You will respect your guild mates at all times regardless of personal disagreements.
· Due to the large diversity in both Everquest and The Legion of Light disputes will arise, however they are expected to be dealt with in a mature and tactful way. If you should find yourself in a dispute with a fellow player guilded or not please take the following steps.
--Attempt to look on the situation from their point of view. This can often shed light on a situation.
--Keep your dispute mature and respectful at all times. Don't stoop to insults and curses.
--Utilize private communication.
--Get your guildmates views and or assistance when needed.
--Contact an officer to assist in the resolution of the argument if it reaches a level where mediation is needed especially if it is an in guild issue.
--If necessary contact a GM (Game Master) this should be used as a last resort or to stop someone from harming their fellows. At all times remain courteous even if assistance is not forthcoming.
· You will obey an officer or the guild leader when a request is made.
· You will not utilize /anon. This hides your guild tag and is thus unacceptable. You may use /role which acts as an anon w/ out hiding your guild tag or you may use neither.
· You are expected to try and attend guild raids. Attending only those raids, which assist you, is looked down upon.
· You will never abandon your fellows while a corpse run is under way unless a real life emergency arises.
· We view ourselves as a benevolent guild however our benevolence is given not asked for. We are not here to equip you we are here to be your friends and family. No begging will be allowed, this is a zero tolerance issue.
· Kill Stealing: This is another no tolerance issue. Accidental Kill stealing (Ksing) will occur. In the event you KS on accident an immediate apology is required. Intentional Ksing is a removable offence.
· All public forms of communication should be kept clean.
· One of the key aspects of a guild is to help you. However this is a privilege and thus care must be taken not to abuse it. We are all here to get experience and the highest level of game play we can. Asking for help on camping items, ports, splitting hard spawns or advice are NOT considered abuse. However, please understand that your fellow members may be involved in other issues and are unable to help. It is suggested that if you should need help attaining an item you plan ahead and request the help at a preset time making sure to give your fellow members time to set aside a block for you. Every level offers unique experiences and challenges as well as important lessons. For this reason requesting Powerleveling is frowned upon. The guild will/may have Powerleveling events and or members may set aside the time to assist in the PLing of characters especially secondaries and should be done on a private basis. However, repeat requests are considered an abuse of the above rule.
· Guild officers reserve the right to remove members if any of the above rules are violated. Warnings may/may not be issued but are not required. Inapropriate behavior will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. Warnings will be given for all minor transgressions however if the matter is severe enough instant removal may occure. Guild removal may also occure if 3/4th of the guild officers and guild leader decide it is necessary due to a conflict of intrest or if they contrast with the essence of the guild.
· Have fun! Several things to keep in mind:
· Good Attitude: Be willing to fail and try again, do whatever it is the raid leader desires for the smoothest possible raid.
· Never port or gate from a raid unless told to do so by the raid leader or by yourself as you leave the raid.
· Notify the raid leader when you have to leave.
· Raid loot on both guild and non-guild raids will be decided upon by the Raid leader and all members while welcome to voice their feelings to the raid leader privately for the fairest possible outcome are asked NOT to directly or indirectly contest the raid leaders decision as it is the final word.
--You may not roll for a twink unless there are no other raid members who need the item for their main and open rolling is announced. |
