Clan Ranks

Ruling Council

The Ruling Council is the supreme leadership of The Legion of Light's Age of Mythology Divsion. It is comprised of several members (of rank knight and above) who have been chosen in a clan vote to rule the clan. Members of the Ruling Council may serve on the council for a period of one (1) year after which an ellection will be called to chose the council members for the next year. The Ruling Council is the democratic replacement of the Supreme Chancellor of the Legion as the leader of the guild. The Council is founded on the principal that each member (of the council) has an equall input on any decision being made. The Council is lead each month by a chancellor which is chosen by the council members to chair the council for the said month.

Supreme Chancellor

(Now Defunct)
The Supreme Chancellor was once the leader of the Clan. As the Head of what was formerly the Approval Council, the Chancellor was able to direct the Council in the most effective manor. In the end, it was his/her responsibility to maintain the guild. It was the Supreme Chancellors privilege to chose advisors to this position. These acted as Captains of the Guard. With the removal of this position the Captains of the Guard are now chosen by the Ruling Council

Captain of the Guard

The two Captains of the Guard are the advisors to the Ruling Council. They are in charge of ensuring that the will of the Ruling Council is being carried out. The Captains of the Guard are chosen by the Ruling Council and may be members who are currently members of the Ruling Council, or they may be other members of high rank chosen to carry out the will of the council. In the even that the captains of the guard are members of the ruling council they shall have no more say in any decison being made than any other ruling council member.

Royal Guard

The Royal Guards are members of the clan who are engaged in special duties. These duties may include, but are not limited to, maintaining a section of the site (ie. maintain their own pages which would be accessed through links from the Clan site), hosting a tournament etc. , as well as protecting the relations of the Legion within the AoM and AoK community. In this special role, the Royal Guards are able to promote the Clan through the projects they wish to undertake. Any member may hold the Rank of Royal Guard for as long as they are engaged in their duties. Once completed, the member will return to the rank held previously. There is no limit on how long a member can remain a Royal Guard, or on how many members can hold the rank at any one time.

On becoming a Squire, each member must chose a house with which they wish to associate with. To become a Squire you must complete your probationary period as a Traveller.

Traveller - Probationary Member

Upon joining the Legion of Light, you will become a Traveller, a probationary member. During this time you should get to know the current Legion of Light members and follow the rules as best as you can. As a Traveller, you cannot earn medals, be promoted, join a house, vote on clan votes, or anything else reserved for clan members. Advancement to Squire is not a guarantee, it will be dependent upon the impression received by current members. The Probation period will last until you play with several members of the Clan. Of the members you play, 4 must then vouch for you in the clan forum. At least one of the members who vouch for you, must hold the rank of Knight or higher. When we receive four vouches, you will become a Squire.
